GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSE
It doesn’t readily come to people’s mind that God has a Programme, a Plan and an over-riding Purpose for his Creation. God didn’t create by random choice. Creation was I Reasoned. It came forth from God’s Heart and it is very purposeful.
We have become so accustomed to evil, pains, sufferings, tears and sorrow that it hardly ever occurred to us that these are not part of the life God intends for us. How all these things became part of human existence is a sad story to tell. But that is not the issue here! What has happened has happened. What is of more importance to us is how God has planned to sort out these unwanted conditions of our Earth-life!
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
What is God’s Eternal Purpose, especially with respect to Man and the Earth? Isaiah tells us, “O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsel of old are faithfulness and truth.” Isaiah 25:1
If we ask God, Sir, what is your eternal purpose for man and for the Earth? He will tell us: My purpose for you and the Earth has to do with what has been in my mind all along; how I want things to be for you; what I have planned for you which sin disrupted; what my heart has ever yearned to bestow upon
you of my goodness; All that I desire that you be and have in order to give my meaning to your being.
Before we were created God has all these in mind for us. But sin has limited our capacity to enter into them. And also, by reason of Death, we are limited on Time. In the present age Death has limited us! Sin brought Death. Then Death has created for us a Time Problem. We are not here long enough to have all that His love planned for us. Secondly, sin has also limited us and limited our capacity to enjoy what God has so freely given us.
God’s eternal purpose is the counsel of His heart, His good pleasures, His will, the Desires of His heart, the conceptions of His heart which He has put into a blueprint. As such, it has become immutable and irrevocable. God’s eternal purpose is His love-desires, His Love-thoughts and the plans to make them be!
And ultimately, neither sin nor Death would be able to stop it from fulfillment.
These things have always been His thought for us; He has ever planned to make them good to us. And He has not changed His mind on that. When all these are executed, the condition of eternal pleasure results for all Creation; all of Creation enjoying God forever.
How long do we need to get all of God’s goodness soaked into us? It is going to take eternity! What is eternity? It is from the Greek word “aion”. It literally means ages rolling upon ages! Yes, ages rolling upon ages, and the dimensions of creature’s pleasure in the Creator will keep unfolding in heightening degree for all eternity! Eternity also goes beyond mere length of time. It carries with it the sense of the other dimensions of existence that sin took away from us.
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath made us alive together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: THAT IN THE AGES TO COME HE MIGHT SHEW THE EXCEEDING RICHES OF HIS GRACE IN HIS KINDNESS TOWARD US THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.” Ephesians 2:4-7
Now, Time is a limit upon us to enjoy all of God. Death doesn’t allow that! We live and die so quickly. Also, sin is a limit upon our capacity to fully soak in God. Sin restricts and constricts and weakens our capacity for Spirit things. But in eternity, when ages roll on upon ages non-stop, and in the Dimensions of existence that we hardly know exist, our capacity to enjoy God will be limitless. For when we shall rise in Him and mortality would have been swallowed up by life, and corruption eliminated by incorruption, the sin restriction problem would be no more! Death would be no more!
And in the midst of eternity, the Time available for God to unfold and unbundle His Heart of Love to us will also be limitless; with ages rolling upon ages indefinitely, Time constraint will be no more! The ages to come provide the infinite arena for the boundless Love of God to find expression and play out upon Creation in all the dimensions of God’s greatness
“Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him..…That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”
Ephesians 1:9, 10 & 2:7
No one should miss out on such indescribable joy and eternal bliss! Yet we hear from Holy Scripture that some people would not be a part of this by their own choosing. So, who will be part of Eternity with God? Who will be there as ages roll on upon ages and God lavishes His Love upon His Creatures? Note the
following Points:
·All have sinned and are disqualified from such future – Romans 3:23.
·The wages of sin is death (Eternal separation from God and the future state Creation.)– Romans 6:23.
·But the gift of God is Eternal Life – Romans 6:23.
·This Life is a free gift, but is only available in Christ Jesus and obtainable through faith in Him – Romans
6:23, John 5:26, Ephesians 2:8.
·The Book of Romans 10:9,10 tells us how to receive this gift which God has so freely and graciously
offered.
What is the alternative to this great offer of God? That is, if you fail to receive this gift what then happens?
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the
Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” 1John 5:11, 12
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life;
but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36
“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire
prepared for the devil and his angels” Matthew 25:41
“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:12,15
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8

RAISING A GENERATION OF WEAK CHILDREN
A friend of mind shared this touching post and I will love to share with you too.
It’s your fault. You started this. You started it long time ago when you resolved that your children would not pass through the difficulties you went through. Your love for them made them weak.
Your parents prepared you for the challenges ahead. They allowed you to solve many of your problems. They only guarded and guided. They allowed you to go to WAEC office to check your WASSCE result. You even travelled to Ikoyi to check UME and PCE results. But you consider your children too young and inexperienced to do anything for themselves. The same children that you put in school at age 2 have suddenly become too young.
You rushed them through childhood thinking cognitive achievements would see them through. They can’t even keep their own records. When they register for exams, you keep photo cards and slips. You will keep result checkers too. When results are out, you rush to cafes to check and print them. You followed them everywhere and show them everything as if they were blind. You follow them to register for JAMB, your phone number is on the registration form, you stayed in the car on the exam day, immediately after exam, you zoom them home.
They never get the chance to socialize. They can’t even discuss contents and conduct of the exam with fellow candidates. You won’t let them stay back a second but you stayed back on the day of your own exam. You made new friends and all of you, strangers to one another, went to buy snacks together. You were all talking and smiling as if you had known one another for years but your children can’t do this. “What else are you waiting for?” is the question from your raised voice.
When results are out, you will receive the notification. You will be the one to go and print the result and start thinking of how to get admission processed. Finally when admission is secured, you will still be the one to go to banks and pay all fees. You will also travel down to look for their accommodation. Unfortunately, you can’t follow them to campus, you would have preferred to attend every lecture with them. You inevitably, relax the apron string at this stage and allow them to face life by themselves for the first time.
They now have to, for the first time in their entire life, do things by themselves and for themselves. There’s no more mom and dad to think, act, predict, assume and foresee events any more. Then the vicissitudes of life come knocking. They fail four courses out of nine in 100 level but struggle to move on. When it happens again in 200L and 300L, they consider all the hardships of the last two years, the suffering is magnified in their weak minds, they find no one to talk to, they blame themselves and you for creating the hardship, thus they resolve to opt out of life.
Dear parents, allow your children to grow up. Allow them make their mistakes, build a level of dependence on themselves and chart their own course. I know you are quite rich, but allow them experience a level of hardship. You should even induce a degree of hardwork around the home to check how they can survive outside the canopy of your feathers. Stop raising weak children because the world out there is for the strong. When you are over protective of a child they lose confidence in themselves. There is no sweet without sweat

Eight (8) relationships in one year with men who were simply after my body and had no plan for a future with me.
I thought dating a married man would bring me happiness because I felt a level of security and comfort with him… The moral view of this was useless to me as all I wanted was A MAN TO LOVE & CARE FOR ME… which he did.
I lacked nothing as long as I graced his bed and met his manly needs more than the wife could do for the moment…
But into our relationship, reality dawned on me that he could never be MINE…
Dating guys in the same age group as mine was a big mess cause all we did was have sex, party, chat away the time and get temporal fun.
At least, the older married men impacted my life one way or the other but these small boys… All they do is waste one’s time and at the end give you nothing but unfaithfulness.
A point came in my life where I thought I had found the ONE, he was sweet, nice and caring… He was everything I needed in a man… We had a meaningful relationship but for sure there was a high demand for sex and other fruitless demands, but aside this he helped me grow in my business and supported my career with his intelligent business ideas.
Finally, I have found a husband, I was really hopeful…
I thought satisfying him sexually would keep him, I gave him my whole regardless of the consequences to my body… He would come up with crazy sex ideas and I would agree.
Thinking I was KEEPING MY MAN who would be my husband soon… I introduced him to my family members and everyone knew him as my husband to be.
Only for him to post PRE WEDDING PICTURES ON FACEBOOK after 2 weeks of being distant from each other…
He used me for his pleasure and spurned me after 4 months of relationship and several abortions…
It wasn’t the first so I overcame the pain soon enough…
Despite all, I wondered, why is it so hard to find my MAN because all I needed was a MAN…

You know the deception of Satan, at first it’s sweet and enjoyable but the END is PAINFUL…
You must get angry with this fruitless living and seek God and His kingdom to be made whole…
Don’t settle for less, you are a QUEEN👸 and you deserve nothing but the BEST…
Don’t settle for the lies of SATAN that says
> You are not good enough
> No man can love you
> You are too dirty to be saved
These are all LIES because NO matter who you are or what you have done, Jesus will forgive your SINS and keep no record of your WRONGS…
All you need do is allow Him into your life and watch Him BEAUTIFY your life.
He will clean the mess and make you whole again, giving you A BRAND NEW LIFE.

Don’t be a Lone Wolf in 2021
A man, who regularly attended family meetings suddenly without any notice stopped participating.
After a few weeks, one very cold night the leader of that group decided to visit him.
He found the man at home, alone, sitting in front of a fireplace where a bright fire burned.
The man welcomed the leader. There was a great silence.
The two men only watched the dancing flames around the logs that crackled in the fireplace.
After a few minutes the leader, without saying a word, examined the woods that formed the fire and selected one of them, glowing most brightly of all, removing it to the side with a pair of tongs. Then he sat down again.
The host was paying attention to everything, fascinated. Before long, the lone member flame subsided, until there was only a momentary glow & the fire soon went out.
In a short time what was previously bright light and heat had become nothing more than a black & dead piece of wood.
Very few words had been spoken since the greeting.
Before preparing to leave, the leader with the tongs picked up the useless piece of wood & placed it again in the middle of the fire. Immediately, the member piece of wood was rekindled, fueled by the light & heat of the burning coals around him.
When the leader reached the door to leave, the host said: Thank you for your visit and for your beautiful lesson. I’ll return to the group soon.
Why is a group important? Very simple:
Because each member that withdraws takes fire & heat from the rest.
It’s worth reminding group members that they are a part of the flame.
It’s also good to remind us that we are all responsible for keeping each other’s flame burning
And we must promote the union among us so that the fire is really strong, effective and lasting.
THE GROUP IS A FAMILY
It doesn’t matter if sometimes we are bothered by so many messages, etc.
What matters is to be connected. We are here to meet, learn, exchange ideas, check in on each other or simply to know that we are not alone.
Let’s keep the flame alive.
Life is beautiful with good family members like you all.

There was this poor man who wrote a book at the age of 40 and decided to launch it on his Birthday.
He had no money to fund the launching and so, he decided to seek help from a millionaire in his community.
He made a visit to the Millionaires home and after they exchanged pleasantries, he told his host what brought him.
The Millionaire told him to take out a piece of paper and pen.
He said, ” I will give you a test. If you pass it, I will give you the money you need and if you fail, I will still give you the money”
He then told him to write down the names of 10 people who could give him 10k each for his book during the launch.
Surprisingly, the man could not write even 3 names. 😢

It is not enough to have talent and skills. You must understand the power of building valuable relationship.
It was a wise man that said, your network is directly proportional to your net worth.

Little Act of Kindness Can Save A Soul
I want to share two old stories with you, and see how you would choose !
” Story One“
A certain company has a tradition of holding a party and a lottery every Christmas Eve.
The rules of the lottery draw are as follows: each employee pays ten dollars as a fund. There are three hundred people in the company. In other words, a total of three thousand dollars can be raised. The winner takes all the money home.
On the day of the lottery draw, the office was filled with a lively atmosphere. Everyone wrote their names on a slip of paper and put them in the lottery box.
However, a young man by name Karl, hesitated when he wrote. Because he thought that the company’s cleaner has a frail and sickly son who was going to have an operation recently, but she did not have the money to pay for the operation. This made her very troubled.
So, even though he knew that the chance of winning was slim, with only a three percent chance, Karl wrote the name of the cleaner on the note.
The tense moment came. The boss stirred the slips in the lottery box, and finally drew out a note. Karl also kept praying in his heart: I hope the Cleaner can win the prize…Then the boss carefully announced the winner’s name. A miracle has happened!
The winner turned out to be the Cleaner! Cheers broke out in the office, and the Cleaner hurriedly came to the stage to accept the award. She burst into tears and said movedly: I am so lucky! With this money, my son has hope to live !
As the party was in progress, while thinking about this “Christmas miracle”, Karl paced to the lottery box. He took out another piece of paper and opened it casually. The name on it was also the name of the Cleaner ! Karl was sincerely surprised. He took out several pieces of the slip of papers one after another. Although the handwriting on them were different, the names were all the same. All of them were the names of the Cleaner ! Then Karl’s eyes were red with tears of joy. He clearly understood that there is a Christmas miracle in the world, but the miracle will not fall from the sky. People are required to create it by themselves!
” Story Two “
One afternoon, I went for a walk with a friend in the suburbs. Suddenly, an old man in tattered clothes approached with a bag of green vegetables in his hand. The sales of those vegetables are very poor, the leaves were dehydrated and yellow, and there were holes in them that are bitten by insects. But my friend bought three bags without saying a word. The old man embarrassedly explained: “I grew this vegetable myself. It rained a while ago, and the vegetable were soaked. They look ugly. I’m sorry.
After the old man left, I asked my friend: Will you really eat these vegetables when you go home?
He said no. These vegetables can no longer be eaten.
Then why are you buying?
Because it is impossible for anyone to buy those vegetables. If I don’t buy it, the old man will probably have no income.
I admire my friend’s good deeds, so I caught up with the old man and bought some vegetables from him too. The old man said very happily, “I been trying to sell them all day, and only you are willing to buy it. Thank you so much. You have put food on the table for me and my family.
Several handfuls of green vegetables that I can’t eat at all taught me a valuable lesson. When l heard the old man, I was almost move to tears.

When we are in a low ebb, we all hope that miracles will happen to us; but when we are capable, are we willing to be the one who creates miracles for others ?
When reading this article, everyone has two choices:
1) You can spread it, spread some positive messages, and make the world know more love.
2) You can also ignore it at all, as if you never saw it.
However, your little sharing action may illuminate the destiny of countless people and inspire them to show a little more kindness.
Why We Shout When Angry
A Professor was teaching.
He asked his students, ‘why do we shout in anger?
Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?’
The students thought for awhile.
One said, because we lose our calm.
But why shout when the other person is just next to you?
Asked the professor.
Isn’t it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice?
Why do you shout at a person when you are angry?
The students gave some answers but none satisfied the Professor.
Finally he explained,
‘when two people are angry at each other, there is a distance in their hearts psychologically.
To cover the distance,
they must shout to be able to hear each other.
The angrier they are,
the stronger they will shout to hear each other through that great distance.
Then the Professor asked, ‘What happens when two people fall in love?
They don’t shout at each other but talk softly.
Why? This is because their hearts are psychologically close.
The distance between them is very close.
The Professor continued, ‘When they love each other even more, what happens?
They don’t speak, only whisper and they even get closer to each other in their love.
Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that’s all…..
So next time you shout on a loved one, know that you are creating distance between your heart and that person’s heart. Experience says a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

AUTHORITY ARROGANCE…..
A drug law officer stopped at a farm near Odeda in Ogun state, and talked with an old farmer.
He told the farmer, “I need to inspect your farm for illegally grown drugs.”
The farmer said, “Okay , but don’t go in that field over there…..”, as he pointed out the location.
The drugs squad officer verbally exploded saying, “Mister, I have the authority of the Government with me.”
Reaching into his rear trouser pocket, he removed his official ID card and proudly displayed it to the farmer.
“See this ID card? This ID card means I am allowed to go wherever I wish. On any land !! No questions asked or answers given !! Have I made myself clear. Do you understand ?”
The old farmer nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores.
A short time later, the old farmer heard a loud scream, looked up, and saw the drugs squad officer running for his life, being surrounded by a swarm of wild bees. The officer was clearly terrified.
The old farmer threw down his tools, ran to the fence and shouted at the top of his lungs………
Stop running & Show them your ID card…oh…!!”
LESSON;
Lack of humility brings humiliation
*Pride goes before a fall
*Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
Let us learn to be humble…..it costs us nothing!
