Kings And Queens

ORDINARY KINGS AND QUEENS
I am unstoppable!
They broke our wings to prevent us from flying to our destiny
They had no idea we are like termites –
Until we remove our wings we do not become kings and queens to start a new colony

The family can be a rough place to survive. The street can be a harsh place to survive. The marketplace can be a tough place to survive. The corporate world can be a difficult place to survive. The corridors of politics can be a brutal place to survive. There is no where you turn to in life that is not rough.
The secret of succeeding in rough and tough places is ensuring that when “they” take something from you, you immediately use what you have left to start a new venture, or dream a new dream. There is always another battle to fight, and losing today does not mean you have lost forever.
That is the wisdom that termites showed us. Every time the termite loses its wings, it becomes obvious that it cannot fly anymore. But termites don’t sit down and cry about the loss of their wings. They crawl into a hole, and there begin to raise a new generation of termites.
Look at Joseph. His family disbelieved his dreams. It didn’t stop him from dreaming. His brothers took away his garment. It didn’t stop him from traveling to Egypt. Portipher’s wife took away his dignity. It didn’t stop him from acting dignified. Portipher took away his freedom and sent him to jail. But you can only jail a man’s body not his spirit. Joseph allowed his spirit to soar and never stopped hoping like most of us would. The people he helped forgot to keep their words, but Joseph will keep his integrity. Imagine a slave and a condemned prisoner becoming a prime minister. He was unstoppable and so are you – no matter what life and people may have taken from you.
And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me. Gen 37:8-9 (KJV)
This is not the end of you. You are coming back stronger! Yes, you may look ordinary like the termite, but there is a king or a queen inside. Unveil him/her.

Little Lessons Of Life

Sammie Abah's Blog

I’ve learned …That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of
an elderly person.
I’ve learned …. That when you’re in love, it shows.
I’ve learned …. That just one person saying to me, ‘You’ve made my
day!’ Really makes my day.
I’ve learned …. That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of
the most peaceful feelings in the world.
I’ve learned …. That being kind is more important than being right.
I’ve learned …. That u should never say no to a gift from a child.
I’ve learned …. That I can always pray for someone when I don’t
have the strength to help him in some other ways.
I’ve learned …. That no matter how serious your life requires u to
be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.
I’ve learned …. That sometimes all a person needs is a…

The Bathtub Test

Did you ever know that there is actually a test that can be given to you in a bathtub to see how sane you are?

During a recent visit to a mental asylum, I asked the director, “How do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized?”

“Well”, said the director, “We fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a tea cup and a bucket to the patient and ask them to empty the bathtub.”

“Oh, I see, so a normal person would use the bucket because it’s bigger than the spoon or tea cup” I replied.

“No”, said the director, “a normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?”

Hope you enjoyed the smile and the laugh. Spread the joy with others today!!
