There was an aged artist who lived in a small village. The man used to design beautiful artistic works to be sold at an attractive price

One day, a poor man among the villagers challenged the old man saying: You earn a lot of money from your handiwork but why don’t you assist indigent people in the village?

Cant you see the butcher who is not as rich as you are, but still shares free meat to the destitute people in the village.
Also, look at the village baker, a poor man with a large family, yet he gives the poor people free loaves of bread.

The artist did not respond angrily to the challenges, rather just smiled .

The poor man was so confused about the reaction of the artist so he left him and went out spreading rumors that the artist was so rich, but he was a stingy person who only accumulated wealth and refused to help less privileged. The entire villagers took vengeance, they broke away from the old artist man and they all forsook him.

In a mean time, the aged artist was sick but nobody among the villagers cared to visit him, therefore he died a lonely man.

The days passed by, the villagers observed that the butcher stopped free distribution of meat and the baker could not give the destitute people free loaves of bread any more, despite their continuous trooping to the bakery and their hope to have something to eat.

When both (the butcher and the baker) were asked the reason behind the sudden cut off of the welfare to the villagers, they said that: ” the elderly artist who used to donate a large sum of money every month to share free meat and loaves of bread to the poor people in the village has died, so the welfare has to stop.”

Actually, many people may have wrong impression about you while others may have different opinions, none of them could benefit nor harm your good intention.

Therefore, don’t pass judgment on any one based on his physical appearance. There are things about his personal life, if you were privileged to know, your judgement would surely be different.

For example, a man died at nightspot/ dance hall.

The other person died in the mosque/Church.

The first person entered the dance hall with intention to preach to them (against indecency)

The second person entered the mosque/Church to steal money or bags.

For this reason, you and I can not decide who enters heaven nor who enters hell-fire. Fear God in privacy and fear God in the open. Human physical appearance is a deception, therefore, forgive, pardon and ignore people’s iniquities. Pray for God’s guidance on erring people. Be good to everybody, don’t cut off your relationship with a person who does not please you. Establish unity and harmony with people, God will love you and people will love you too. The Lord Who created the souls, knows what the souls conceals.

Nigeria the Floating Giant

Nigeria will remain a Sick Giant as long as it is perpetually bedeviled and plagued by grotesque incompetent leaders suffering from historical amnesia.

We will continue to progress retrospectively with abysmal ridicule from lesser countries.

Nigeria can rise again and take her place if our demographic mediocrity and parochial loyalty to individuals in power is subordinated to true nationalism; consciously and conscientiously buried.

Nigeria is merely floating at the moment. The crop of officialdom we have are nothing but a Tsunami to this raped Nation.

Nigeria has everything required to lead Africa. We have the intellectuals, we have the wealth, we have great men and women with vision; but focused and visionary leadership has remained a challenge since independence. Ethnicity, religion, zoning and primitive partisanship has continued to hold us back.

Nigerian has lost her birth-right and big brother status. We pray our children in their own generation wakes up the sleeping giant.

Suicide (Who Is Responsible)

The rate of suicide in Nigeria is at an alarming high rate now. Suicide is a strange word or thing, and now it is becoming a norm.

While pondering about this i come across a post on face book and I will love to share it.

Please stop blaming the president about the current state of suicide in the society. Blame yourselves, blame the society for always settings standards like marriage, school, vocation etc.

You all judge a guy who hasn’t gone to school or not being too rich to your liking.

You judge a girl who was raped and gets pregnant.

You judge a man striving to feed his family, you body shame people and gossip your very own friends

The church/mosque neglects you unless you have something to give them.

I can go on and on. Let us blame ourselves for being too shy of teaching our children sex education and when they grow up with a different mindset and experience something different their brain can’t comprehend it and some fall into depression.

Let’s blame ourselves when we compare our children with other people’s that leads a child into depression.
Coming from the north I see a lot of stupid, traditions that don’t mean crap yet we practice it for heck what. Forcing our children to pick up religion and traditions that they don’t understand. Let’s blame ourselves for the failure in Africa. One man can’t change the nation for good neither can one man change the nation for bad. We are where we are(pun intended) because we have collectively agreed to support wrong leadership, wrong doctrines and wrong traditions.

Until we change our backwards sentimental reasonings we WILL continue to experience what we are now experiencing.

Evil is defined as the absence of good. Every person has different definitions of evil and goodness. However, in many cases true evil is very hard to recognize especially for people who always try to find something good in others.

We can not ignore that there are truly evil people around us and we need to learn how to notice the signals that show us when someone means nothing else but to harm us.

1. Reality denial

Regardless of how obvious the truth is these people will always deny it. Their truth is the only that matters even though it is complete opposite of the reality. Their truth is actually reflection of their wicked, unhealthy thoughts and ideas.

2. Fact twisting

These people are incredible manipulators. They are able to twist any fact that they do not want to accept. They possess ability to take things out of context and create a story that is in their favor.

3. Hiding information

All information that they believe can compromise their goals will be immediately withheld. By keeping this information a secret they believe that they are not doing anything wrong i.e. they do not consider this to be lying. However, if this silence harms others than, it is certainly lying. Moreover, they will blame you and make you feel guilty for lacking trust.

4. Misleading people

What they are very good at is misleading you by making you feel attacked, incompetent, vulnerable, afraid or hated. They achieve this by carefully choosing well-thought words.

5. Constant lies

Whatever they may be talking about they will always add” juicy “information because they feel satisfaction when they lie to other people.

6. No remorse

These people will never feel sorry for hurting people. They enjoy destroying relationships or anything that other people find meaningful. They find pleasure in other people’s sufferings. If they see something good, they will do all in their power to destroy it.

7. Avoid responsibility

Lack of moral is one of the key traits of these people. They never admit or apologize for their mistakes.

8. Manipulators

Masters of manipulation is their second name. They always have a plan and will do anything to realize it.

9. Fair-weather friends

They change like the weather. They will be your friends when you are happy and successful. However, as soon as you face hardships they will disappear. Do not expect support from them. They will be around you only if they can gain something.

10. Time thieves

They can not stand other people being successful and they will do anything in their power to prevent them from realizing their plans. They hate when others are better than them .

11. Double lives

They have a different story for everyone. You can never truly get a clear picture of who these people are. They often lead double lives and no one really knows them well.

12. Control freaks

They look at other people as their toys and want to have complete control over them. This can be clearly seen when they lose control over them and their true intentions appear on the surface.

These traits can be found in many people but if you notice more of them in one person then it is time for you to distance from them and to eventually remove them from your life.

Always be careful when somebody appears to be perfect. Try to be more attentive and observant of this person’s interactions because you never know what truly lies beneath.
