5 PACKING TIPS FOR THE ULTIMATE ROAD TRIP ADVENTURE CALLS. PACK LIGHT

1. ONLY TAKE THE ESSENTIALS
It’s all too easy to pack things you just don’t need. Think back to your last couple of trips; which items never once left your bag between packing and arriving back home? Remember that mix-and-match layers offer flexibility—and don’t forget to pack for the weather.

2. USE SPACE WISELY
Packing a spare pair of shoes? Then use them to store your socks and underwear. You might even have space to cram a watch or belt in there too.

3. ROLL YOUR CLOTHES
Get out of the folding habit. Rolling clothes rather than folding stops them creasing and creates more space. Try wrapping your gear around a central core object, such as a pouch or wash bag. And try to roll everything as tightly as possible to stop things from wrinkling.

4. DITCH THE CASE
Hard rigid cases are a no-no. A soft bag will slot easily into your trunk and mold around other items without eating up precious space.

5. TRY NOT TO FILL YOUR BAG
It’s tempting to use every spare inch of your packing space, but leave a little space for that ‘I ❤ Chicago’ tee and a few bottles of the local brew; you’ll be glad you did on the return leg.
